I'm a mother of two sons. The road with them taught me a few things I now hold on to firmly. I'm writing them down for other parents, especially the ones just at the beginning.

Walk your own path.
Four lessons

1

Someone else's experience is not my experience.

Steering by other people's experience and building your path on their advice is a big risk. You can take a wrong turn, miss the possibilities nature gave you, and never unlock your own potential.

Yes, you can and should look at other people's experience, study it, be curious about it. But only as a source of information, good and bad, the way you'd read a story. Maybe you take an idea from it, or it pushes you toward certain steps.

But walk your own path. Only your own, with faith in yourself and in what you can do.

2

Don't program diagnoses into your life's navigator.

Diagnoses, test results, medical reports, specialists' opinions. These are surface-level. They often throw you off course, and sometimes destroy the drive and motivation to move in the direction you want to go.

The more often you think it, say it, announce it to the world…

Just a child. Just a person.

…the more you convince and program yourself and your child that he is his diagnosis. Then you live, and lead him through life, by the diagnosis. And the child himself, just a child, just a person with his own potential and abilities, drowns in it.

3

What matters most is social and emotional intelligence.

4

Your possibilities are limited by your surroundings.

Why start early

A person is like wet cement. With age it gets firmer and firmer, less and less open to change. Once it sets, you can't reshape it.

The earlier, the better.

Start now, while it's still soft.

The parent's role

First of all, analyse yourself: your abilities, your qualities. This is work on yourself.

Understand what you, as your child's guide, are still missing.

A child is born with an “empty mind”, and the process begins from the very first minute. So much of it depends on us.

Only system
Only consistency
Patiencewhen the goal seems hard to reach

Not sure where to start with yourself?

30 minutes can give you a first step.

Questions and answers

Who is the call for?

For parents who want to talk through their child's development and their own role in it, whether you are just starting or have been on this road for years.

Is Victoria a doctor or a therapist?

No. Victoria is a mother sharing what years on her own path with her sons have taught her. The call does not replace medical, psychological or educational specialists.

What happens in the 30 minutes?

You tell Victoria about your child and what is on your mind. Together you look at it from the child's potential, not from the diagnosis, and you leave with a few concrete next steps.

What language is the call in?

Russian or English. You choose when you book.

How do we meet?

By video call. After you book, Victoria confirms by email and sends the link.

Do I need an account to book?

No. An account only saves your details for next time and sends you Victoria's new notes.

Can I move or cancel my call?

Yes. Use the link in your confirmation email to pick another time or cancel, or simply reply to the email.

What should I prepare?

Nothing special. A few lines about your child and your main question help Victoria use the time well.

Still have a question?

Ask it on the call.
